The Role
Based at Caterham’s flagship showroom in Crawley this is a junior position suitable for a responsible individual looking to build a career in the motor trade. This exciting role will cover several areas of the business including the presentation of used cars both physically and online, looking after the customer experience when hiring Sevens, creating/planning content for our new Caterham Gatwick website and social channels, and assisting the sales team in their day-to-day activities.
Your main duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Ensuring a consistent flow of posts to our social channels encompassing exciting aspects of every part of our business
- Assist sales staff in preparing for, ad carrying out, test drives (if required)
- Ensuring used cars are prepared for sale promptly and to a very high standard
- Writing accurate adverts for our vehicle stock
- Creating videos and photography to showcase our used car stock and dealership
- Keeping the Caterham Gatwick website fully up to date
- Looking after customers hiring a Seven to ensure they have an excellent experience
- Carrying out basic checks on hire cars and arranging preparation where required to ensure they are ready for their booked hires
- Finding new ways to continually improve how the above tasks are carried out
- Weekend showroom cover along with supporting shows and events
Essential requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Experience with DSLR’s and appropriate lighting
- Experience with photo and video editing software
- Understanding of how to drive engagement through content on social media channels
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent listening, communication and organisation skills
Desirable skills
- Good knowledge of cars including a basic mechanical understanding
- Experience with MailChimp
- Experience of vehicle photography
Remuneration
Annual salary of £20,000 – £24,000 dependant on skills and experience. After a probationary period, there will be a range of benefits such as eligibility to join the company pension scheme, DIS, and staff purchase discounts.
